Mr Kane Becker, MAPS
Kane Becker is a fully Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Kane holds a Bachelor of Psychological science and a Graduate Diploma of Psychological science (Honours) from Bond University.
Kane has experience and training in a range of different treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma based approaches and is a certified Triple P and Secret Agent Society (SAS) administrator. Kane has particular interests in working with youths and has experience in an array of presentations within this population such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders (OCD), Anxiety, Depression, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and Emotion Dysregulation Difficulties.
Kane tailors each therapy session to meet the individual’s own therapeutic needs, utilising a variety of evidence-based models and therapeutic frameworks such as CBT, ACT, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused therapy. In addition to providing effective therapeutic intervention, Kane is experienced in administering a range of assessments to better assist his clients in identifying their overall strengths and weaknesses.
Kane has a keen interest in supporting his clients and their families to achieve both their therapeutic and personal goals in order to achieve a rich, full and meaningful life. Kane is committed to helping his clients develop effective strategies and skills to tackle any issues that may be brought up throughout their therapy. Kane is a passionate believer in including his clients within the therapy process as much as possible, as he feels this aids in clients achieving their therapeutic goals.
