Psychological Fees
Our fees vary depending on the type of service being offered and are subject to change:
Therapy/Treatment Sessions
$215* (Psychologist) or $240* (Clinical Psychologist) per 60 min session (including clinical note taking)
Treatment sessions entail working with a Consulting Psychologist to address previously identified concerns. This usually includes working directly with the client on their difficulties in session and developing strategies to be used outside of the consulting rooms. These quoted fees refer to private and Medicare treatment sessions.

Assessment Sessions
$485* per 60 min session (excluding Court Reports)**
Assessment sessions are used to identify underlying difficulties, make diagnoses, clarify functioning and/or formalise findings. Assessments usually comprise 4-5 sessions and include a comprehensive psychological report which is compiled for no additional charge at the completion of the full assessment. Reports include detailed information and recommendations which can be used to assist the client. There is a higher fee for assessment sessions which takes into account the cost of assessment equipment used, collating the results, internal consultation and writing the report. These quoted fees refer to private assessment sessions. In most cases the report will be available 4-6 weeks after the assessment is completed and all collateral information has been returned (e.g., questionnaires).

Medicare Rebates
Medicare:
Some clients may be eligible for a rebate through Medicare if they are provided with a valid referral by their General Practitioner (GP), Psychiatrist or Paediatrician via a Mental Health Care Plan. Eligible Mental Health Care Plans will attract a $96.65 (Psychologist) or a $141.85 (Clinical Psychologist) rebate per 50 min treatment session (60 min including note taking). A maximum of 10 Mental Health Care Plan rebates can be accessed per calendar year per client. Medicare rebates may be able to be claimed for assessment sessions, under special circumstances such as a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist specifically providing a valid referral for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment. Some GP referrals for assessments may also be eligible for a rebate. You would need to discuss your eligibility with your GP to see if they can provide an appropriate referral for assessments. It is important to note that each client is responsible for checking and monitoring their eligibility for a Medicare rebate. Medicare can be contacted to discuss eligibility and rebates on 132 011.

NDIS
Our practice is registered to provide supports through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Additional information regarding NDIS services and applying is available here.
At Oracle Psychology we provide a coordinated multidisciplinary approach to NDIS Participants. We do not provide 'Psychology' in isolation under NDIS and we actively encourage multidisciplinary approaches, where appropriate, due to the complex needs of clients with disabilities. Our approach includes considering the holistic needs of the client, referring to and communicating with other professionals as required (e.g. Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Teachers, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, Support Coordinators, etc.).
Our fees for NDIS services are stipulated and quoted (based on current needs) from the onset on the Participant’s Service Agreement based on an amount for the financial year. This may vary depending on changing needs. The current fees paid by NDIS for Psychological Services is $222.99 per hour.

*In more complex instances (including any Court related work which must be explicitly requested and expressly agreed to by Oracle Psychology in writing prior to commencement) additional casework is required which is charged according to the APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees. This is calculated at a rate of $311.00 (not including GST) per hour of casework including contact with additional stakeholders, emails, phone calls, examination of documentation, letters, report writing, etc. Any travel time, attendance at court or other legally required activity will be billed in accordance with the corresponding APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees. In some instances we require external case management through Unisearch for our Expert Witness work, which in turn will attract a different fee rate as negotiated from the onset. National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) fees are stipulated and quoted from the onset on the Participant’s Service Agreement based on an amount for the financial year. Third Parties will be provided with quotes for services.
**Unless otherwise explicitly requested and expressly agreed to by Oracle Psychology in writing prior to commencement, our role is therapeutic in nature and is not Court or forensic related. As such, our services and assessments are not sufficient to provide opinions including but not limited to custody, litigation matters, potential psychological damage, changeover arrangements, visitations, contact or supervision arrangements. More comprehensive and independent assessments would be required to address such matters. Therefore, we will not be able to provide any Expert Witness opinion or testimony unless otherwise explicitly requested and expressly agreed to by Oracle Psychology in writing prior to commencement.
