Ms Frances Fay
Frances has been a practicing Therapeutic Specialist in Child Protection and Family Therapy settings for the past ten years. She received a Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Family Studies from the University of Newcastle. Frances is planning to complete further studies in the next 24 months to work towards registering as a Psychologist.
Frances has experience working with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), Functional Family Therapy, and Residential as well as Foster Care Behaviour Support. Through this work, Frances has developed skills and experience working with vulnerable children and families with complex needs including acute mental health, substance use, domestic violence, child abuse/neglect and reunification/placement breakdowns. This support includes building relationships with children and their families, administering assessments, providing therapeutic support, and developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) with targeted areas for change.
Frances has a passion for supporting children and families to realise their full potential and achieve the quality of life they deserve through Therapeutic Support and planning.
