Multidisciplinary Referrals

At Oracle Psychology we understand the need for close collaboration and communication between professions in supporting the complex needs of clients during important developmental periods. Our holistic and client centered approach to working with children and adolescents is at the centre of our practice. We employ evidence based treatments, using the scientist practitioner model, to drive our practice.

Our clinicians provide a coordinated multidisciplinary approach to participants, where appropriate, in collaboration with medical and allied health professionals. We do not provide Psychology in isolation, but instead we actively consider and encourage multidisciplinary approaches, due to the changing needs of clients. We often work closely with many other professionals including Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, Support Coordinators and Teachers.

Specialising in services for children 0-6 years as an Early Start Denver Model Certified Therapist since June 2017. Valerie Gent is a Paediatric Feeding Speech Pathologist with 15 years of acute and disability experience. Valerie only sees babies and children up to the age of 12 with feeding difficulties (chewing, swallowing, delayed oral motor skills, drooling) and fussy eating/restricted eating. She also helps children who are tube fed/PEG and is currently based in a clinic with occupational therapists.
