Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition characterised by a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. An experienced Child Psychologist can assist in assessing and diagnosing ASD and providing follow-up treatment. Individuals with ASD experience the social world in a unique way and identifying their strengths can be an important part of the Psychologist's role. We can assist families to better meet their children's needs and teach the individual emotion based social skills to function better at home and school.

Children and adolescents with ASD have difficulties understanding other people and social situations. They can often misunderstand jokes and sarcasm. Children with ASD learn social and emotional skills best when they are taught to them directly and explicitly. Psychologists help families and the individual to develop these skills.

Our Child Psychologists can help you and your child by providing support, understanding and knowledge. With years of experience and expertise we are well placed to help you achieve successful outcomes by working together.

We offer:

- Individual Treatment
- Social Skills Groups
- Parenting Strategies
- Assessment and Diagnosis
