Child & Adolescent Psychologist
Ms Monica Hattendorff, MAPS
Monica is registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Monica obtained a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland. She has recently commenced a Master of Clinical Psychology at Charles Sturt University.
Monica incorporates a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Family Interventions, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing into her practice. Monica has experience working across a variety of settings, including working with people with intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), mood disorders, chronic pain, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and workplace injuries.
Monica has a keen interest in supporting children and families to adjust, develop and flourish. As well as providing her regular treatment sessions, Monica also enjoys conducting assessments with children and adolescents to provide further insight into strengths and needs.
