Ms Mhairi Gray, MAPS
Mhairi Gray obtained a Bachelor of Psychology (Honors) degree from the University of Newcastle and is fully Registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has successfully completed the National Psychology Exam with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and is eligible to provide services via Medicare.
Mhairi has experience in providing assessment and intervention to both children and adults. Further, her focus has been predominantly in early intervention. In addition to working within therapeutic settings, Mhairi also has valuable experience in disability advocacy and community development roles. She has strong skills in emotion coaching, parent training and behaviour management with children and teenagers. Mhairi enjoys providing group based programs as well as individual treatment.
Mhairi believes that the family and their collective experiences play a pivotal role in child development. She has a strong interest in attachment theory and childhood trauma, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Mhairi has experience in using a range of evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support, and holds a firm belief in tailoring the treatment to suit the individual.
