Child & Adolescent Psychologist

Mr Chris Brown, MAPS
Chris is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He holds a Bachelor of Psychology (BPsych) and is currently furthering his education and experience by completing a Masters in Clinical Psychology with the University of Newcastle. Chris is also a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).
Chris has a special interest in psychological assessment and intervention for individuals with an Intellectual Disability. He is also experienced in working with clients in the Criminal Justice System. Further, Chris engages in the assessment and treatment of individuals with a range of Personality Disorders.
Chris conducts clinical, academic and neuropsychological assessment of both children and adults. He utilises a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. Chris has an interest in the intersection of Buddhism and Psychology and is a committee member of the APS Buddhism and Psychology interest group.
